HISTORY
One man's vision to make an impact on the nascent Malaysian medical devices industry now sees the company making a global reach. In late 2002, the founder S. Choudhury, started the company in a rented premises without much fanfare but with a lot of resolve. In 2003 VIGILENZ made its first international forey with two countries. By February 2004 the company had attained ISO 13485:2003 and in by September the same year it was certified for it's CE Mark by TUV SUD Germany. In 2006 the company launched it's synthetic absorbable suture the ECOSORB & ECOSORB fast and attained the CE Mark Class lll. It was in 2007 that the management managed to buy up the premises and invested heavily in a new building and a world class manufacturing set up. The company managed the CE Marking of its Hernia Mesh products in 2010. Since then there has been no looking back for the company and it has added on another 20 countries to which it currently exports. The name VIGILENZ today is well established in the various markets it serves. The company now is in the growth phase with many exiciting projects in the pripeline.
Amidst its humble beginning in the year 2002, VIGILENZ Medical Devices Sdn. Bhd. urshers the new millennium pioneering spirit. A truly Malaysian company with international expertise and a world-class quality standard stands in the way of traditional multinational players. Following the USP & EP standard our sutures are produced under class 100k clean room conditions.
In its short history VIGILENZ has made tremendous strides in establishing itself against all odds, as a reliable manufacturer and supplier of quality products.
The company attained its ISO 13485 Quality System accreditation in 2004 and in the same year attained its CE Mark Class llb for basic sutures. In 2007 the company was successfully audited and cleared for its Class lll synthetic absorbable sutures. This would be the start to many more Class lll product developments making VIGILENZ the first Malaysian company to do so under the European Medical Devices Directive.
Quality Reliability
The Laboratory & Quality Control Departments are equipped with the latest instruments to ensure compliance with the most stringent demands of both the United States Pharmacopiea & the European Pharmacopiea. Constant training and retraining of personnel has led to the establishment of a dedicated multi-tasking group of quality assurance professionals.
The Market Network
VIGILENZ uses the services specialized distribution associates throughout the globe for its marketing and sales endeavors. The company insists that all personnel from these associates be adequately trained and service orientated. For this, the company's product support team is constantly on hand to conduct trainings and seminars at our associates' premises or in hospitals.
VISA
The company is regularly engaged in CME trainings for young surgeons, fresh qualified doctors and nursing staff in various medical and surgical disciplines through its Vigilenz Intellectual Support Academy (VISA). It is the company founder's wish to support extensively this area of the company's activities for society.
R & D
From the onset the company had one objective in the area of research and development and that is to focus on new developments whether it be through predicate products or product improvements missed out by others in the course of product development. This enthusiasm has brought about new product development in the company in the recent past. Current research within the company focuses on resorbable material for medical application, Urology and CVC products, and Infection Control product lines.
VIGILENZ will be amongst the ultimate barometers for quality, reliability, latest technology, and economics in the field of surgical sutures in this region for the future.
